低迷する市場においてフィッチ・レーティングスが キャピタル・サーヴィシングの格付けを日本において 付与される最高格付けに据え置きました

4月30日、フィッチ・レーティングス(以下、「フィッチ」)は、キャピタル・サーヴィシング債権回収株式会社（以下、「キャピタル・サーヴィシング」)のコマーシャルモーゲージ・スペシャル・サービシングに対する格付けを、フィッチが日本において現在与えている最高格付けである「CSS1-」に据え置くと発表しました。

昨今の金融引き締めにより多くのサービサーが格付けを下げる中にあって、フィッチのキャピタル・サーヴィシングに対するこの高い格付けは、キャピタル・サーヴィシングが苦境にあっても優れたサービシング機能を発揮し、安定性を継続していることを裏付ける結果となりました。

今回の格付け評価には、キャピタル・サーヴィシングの確かな業績、経済的な安定性、高度に統合されたシステム、包括的で良く整備されたリスク管理体制、および豊富な経験を持つ経営陣などの点が反映されており、フィッチは、キャピタル・サーヴィシングがリーマン・ブラザーズの破綻からの影響を受けながらも「数年間の第三者顧客の獲得努力の結果として顧客ベースの拡大に成功した」と述べています。

フィッチの格付け評価は、サービシング業務、経済的強み、経営陣及び社員の経験、システム、トレーニング・プログラム、各種業務規程及びマニュアル、その他の管理体制等の全般を審査した上で決定されます。フィッチの格付けには1を最高として5までの5段階があり、「CSS1-」は「全般的に優秀なサービシング能力を持ち最高水準のサービサーである」ことを意味しています。

CAPITAL SERVICING REAFFIRMED WITH HIGHEST ISSUED FITCH RATING IN JAPAN AMIDST TOUGH MARKET

On April 30th Fitch Ratings (“Fitch”) reaffirmed Capital Servicing Co., Ltd. (“Capital Servicing”) with their highest issued commercial special servicer rating in Japan of “CSS1-”. While ratings downgrades have been common for servicers in recent months during the credit crunch, Fitch's high rating of Capital Servicing is a statement to its strong servicing capabilities and continued stability in a challenging environment.

This rating reflects Capital Servicing's proven servicing track record, financial stability, well-integrated systems, comprehensive risk management infrastructure and experienced senior management team. In addition, Fitch noted that while Capital Servicing has been affected by the demise of Lehman Brothers, "Capital has successfully expanded its client base, a result of its efforts in the last few years."

Fitch Ratings determines its overall ranking after evaluating servicing performance, financial strength, management and staff experience, systems, training programs, policies & procedures, and controls among others. The agency rates servicers on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being the highest rating. A rating of “CSS1-” indicates the "servicer demonstrates the highest standards in overall servicing ability."
